Summer Term
Our topic this summer is called Wonderful Weather (natural Disasters). First we will be focusing on Volcanoes, how and why they erupt? Where are they in the world? What comes out of a volcano? With lots of exploding fizzy drinks with mentos and vinegar. Lots of sensory exploring with kinetic sand and water as well to recreate a volcano erupting. In ICT we will be using stop motion picture and purple mash to create some natural disasters. Then in summer 2, we will be looking at Aberfan disaster which links to our Welsh heritage and then the ocean as the last part of this topic where we will be making Big Waves, ice picking, fan spinning and desk shaking to create other natural disaster type weathers.
