About our Special Resource Base
Welcome to Greenhill Primary Special Resource Base
The special resource base caters for children who have range of Social and Communication difficulties. The base is funded by the Local Education Authority and entry into the base is dependent on specific admissions criteria.
Our aim within the Special Resource Base is to develop your child’s potential in all areas of the curriculum by providing a calm, organised and well-structured setting. Within both classes learning is very much tailored to the child's individual needs.
Sensory integration and Attention Autism play a major part in our school day! I have added links on the Special resource home page if you would like to know more about these.
Where possible we are keen to integrate the children into our mainstream setting whether it be playtimes, lunchtimes or lesson times . This may happen on a part time basis with support from specialised staff, full time at Greenhill Primary or at the child’s local school. This provides the children with the opportunity to maximise their social and communication development.
