October Newsletter

Dear parents and carers,

The nights are drawing in, and the leaves are falling. Autumn has certainly arrived. Let's hope for a crisp, sunny and fine half term break for everyone to enjoy.

Dosbarth Copr

We are excited to confirm that, following the half-term break, we will be opening our new class, Dosbarth Copr.

Dosbarth Copr will join with Aur, Arian and Efydd as part of our Special Needs Resource Base, and we look forward to welcoming our new additions to Greenhill.

Construction

Beginning on Monday, there will be significant construction works taking place on the school playground and the car park to the right of the building. This will impact access to class for children in Dosbarth Enfys (Miss Prothero) and Dosbarth Gwyrdd (Mrs McDonald and Miss Rees) as the path used to access these classes will be closed until the works are completed. Therefore, after half term children from these classes will need to be brought in and collected via the junior gate on the left of the building.

Nursery children will be dismissed at 12 o’clock via the main entrance of the school.

Once construction is complete, we will return to our usual processes.

Parking and drop-off for Blue Badge Holders

The construction process will also significantly impact the availability of parking spaces for holders of Blue Badges on the school grounds.

Therefore, following the half-term break, we will initiate a new process. As usual, the taxis will turn left when entering the school and wait outside the building. However, in the new system, parents of children in Copr, Efydd, Arian and Aur will also follow this route, and staff bring children to the cars. It is hoped that this system will allow for a steadier flow of traffic.

Parents and carers of children not in the named classes will be required to use the remaining parking spaces to the right of the school and collect children as usual.

We appreciate the assistance and patience of parents and carers as we introduce the new system.

Communication

It is vital we have your correct phone number as for most messages, this is our main means of communication. For longer messages, we use Seesaw so please make sure you have set up your account.
