Dear parents and carers,
I hope you have all been enjoying this fine weather, it looks like it is going to continue into half-term, which is good news.
The final half-term of this academic year is going to be very busy. Dates have been shared in our previous newsletter, but it is worth sharing them again.
Sunny weather
It is important your child is dressed appropriately in the hot weather.
They should wear a hat, their shoulders should be covered and midriffs should not be exposed, that is, no strappy tops and no crop-tops.
While we do not insist that clothes should have the school logo on, we do request that school colours (white, red, grey/black) are adhered to, including for PE, if they are wearing their PE kit to school.
As children are very active in the school day, all shoes need to be secured eg sandals with buckles, no flip-flops.
Jewellery (with the exception of stud earrings) and false nails should not be worn.
Sunscreen should be applied before school.
Thank you for your co-operation in this regard.
Retirement
Mrs. Alisa Jones, Dosbarth Enfys’s teacher, is to retire at the end of this school year. Mrs. Jones has been a valued staff member of Greenhill for many years, and we wish her a fantastic last half-term!
Mrs. Davies
Many of you have asked after Mrs. Janet Davies, our school secretary. She has asked me to pass on her thanks for your kind thoughts and to say she has missed seeing you and the children over these past few months.
